As a regular health check-up is mandatory for a human being, a regular maintenance check is mandatory for a house too. Starting from the exterior and interior of a house, you must check appliances, plumbing, electricity, security and all other things to stay safe and live in a well-maintained home.

Examine the Sewerage System
The sewerage system of a house is the most important factor. Overflowing gutters, clogged pipelines can be fatal if not addressed at the right time. Keep a check on the sewerage system, unclog the sinks if needed, repair the holes, and maintain the system monthly to avoid any serious damage.
Keep an Eye on Electricity System
Electricity system of the house has to be checked keenly to ensure the safety of the house and the people living there too. Examine the wiring system and get it fixed immediately if you find any error, be it little or bigger. It has to be fixed before time as it can be a threat to life.
Ventilations
Windows, window holes, and ventilations are to be cleaned regularly to avoid any inconvenience. Window holes, if not cleaned properly and regularly can be a way for the rain to enter inside the house and it can damage your goods.
Windows need to be cleaned rightly to avoid clogging or damage. Ventilations have to be cleaned well. If you have placed plants in the patios, clean the area perfectly to avoid mosquitoes or other such creature that can be fatal for the health of the residents.
Clean all the corners
The rule of the home maintenance is to clean not only the bigger things that are visible but every bit and corner of the house. Keep the corners of the house neat and clean. Cleanliness cannot be avoided at any cost
Clean Refrigerator Entirely including Coils
The refrigerator has to be cleaned regularly. Clean all the corners of the refrigerator, throw all the stale food to avoid any pungent smell. Switch the refrigerator off and clean the coils and wires to evade any serious damage.
Inspect Door Knobs and Locks
Keep an eye on the doorknobs and looks of the house. Change or fix all the squeaky handles and loose locks. Do not neglect such things thinking of them as little issues. Fix every little issue in time before it turns into something bigger.
Examine the Furniture
Fix the broken or damaged furniture in time to shun any problem. Keep a check on all the furniture, send it to the carpenter for polish regularly to keep it fresh, clean your furniture keenly, do not let the dust stay in, once the dust stays on the furniture for a longer period it becomes sticky and rigid that will be tougher to clean.
Usually, people go for home maintenance when things have already gone wrong. Home maintenance is not only for the safety of the home but for the safety of your family too.
