Multan, a city in Punjab, located on the bank of River Chenab, is the 6th largest city of Pakistan. It covers an area of 227sq.km. Its Ancient name was Kashep Puri and was changed to Multan due to Mali people, who were defeated by Alexander. Multan has seven huge gates for entrance in the city.

Multan marks an arid climate and it is famous for having some of the hottest weather in Pakistan. Multan is also famous for its large number of Sufi Shrines. It is an amalgamation of markets, mosques, shrines and ornate tombs.

Saraiki is the most frequent language spoken by the people of Multan. It is linked with Lahore via (M3+M4) motorway whose project has been completed in 2019. People feel safe and convenient to travel through this route. The Sutlej River separates it from Bahawalpur and the Chenab separates it from Muzaffargarh.
