Provincial Minister of Labor and Human Resources Ansar Majeed Khan has urged the officers of the construction departments to review the meeting of the concerned institutions on the city development package at the Deputy Commissioner's office to fix the old and new schemes in the district as per the instructions and development vision of the Punjab government. Complete all cases within the period and standard material should be used in these schemes, use of non-standard material will not be compromised in any case.
Officers of the concerned departments should check their schemes themselves so that the construction work can be completed within the government guidelines or timelines. Director Development Bilal Hasan, ADCF&P Shoaib Niswana and Deputy Director Technical Rana Shahid, Buildings, Roads, Local Government, Community Development and Public Health Engineering, Chief Officer Metropolitan Tariq Provia also participated in the meeting.
The provincial minister said that to ensure the provision of relief to the people, the coordination between all the departments should be better and more effective. Work is ongoing on 18 different schemes. Thus, 6 different projects have been identified under the Annual Development Program 2022-23.
Under the city development package, Associate College for female students on 49 Tel, Tehsil Sports Complex, Water supply in Cheema Colony, De-silting and upgradation of sewer lines in different areas of the city, Establishment of the recreational park in Chuck No. 47, Streets in different areas. Installation of lights - Construction of road from Noori Gate to 85 Jhal - Construction of flyover on 47th bridge - Construction of road from Kachhari Road to DPO Chowk - Construction of Session Road - Construction of road from Bab Haram Chowk to Faizan Madina New Satellite Town - Punjab Construction of the road from college to Chongi No. 9, construction of road from 85 Jhal to Khushab road, construction of road from Tahli Chowk to Sui gas office and construction of green belts in different areas, apart from renovation projects of parks are included.
The meeting was further informed that under the annual development program 2022-23, 6 different projects have been identified, including the construction of a water supply scheme in Johar Colony, the construction of a bridge over Jhang Mor canal, old satellite town block A, B, C, and Gul. Construction of road up to Wala, Reconstruction of Multabad Overhead Bridge, Sabharwal Colony, VIP Town, Concept Town, Construction of road up to 71 North and Fatima Jinnah Colony, besides repair of road from Depot Chak No. 1 to Chak No. 10. Construction included.
