Islamabad:

Pakistan’s first-ever Eco-friendly 1 Kilometer plastic road is in the completion process. Located in F-9 Islamabad, the Capital Development Authority in collaboration with private firms is working, CDA spokesperson Rana Shakeel Asghar told the press.

He further added, by recycling the daily collected plastic in road build would significantly reduce the environmental pollution in the city. The road contains recycled plastic equivalent to more than one million plastic cups. It shows a remarkable step forward from asphalt roads to future-proof plastic roads offering both performance and reliability.
