PM Announces Subsidy for Naya Pakistan Housing Scheme

In a televised address in Islamabad held on Friday, 10 June 2020 PM Imran Khan announced a subsidy of worth 30 billion rupees for the Naya Pakistan Housing Scheme.

The housing scheme was the manifesto of Imran Khan in the election campaign and now he with his team is all set to proceed to it.

He said that this scheme is specifically and only for the underprivileged people of the country. He further added that this scheme will be so beneficial for the construction industry and all other industries linked to it.

He added that less privileged people are our first target and the second target is the unemployed people who will have a greater chance to get work once the housing scheme is initiated.

Furthermore, PM said that 5% of interests shall be levied on a 5 Marla Home and 7 % shall be levied on a 10 Marla Home. He also said that State Bank of Pakistan and all other banks are also advised to determine 5% of their portfolio for the construction industry.

He also said that this year relaxation has been granted on the questioning about the source of investment but this would only be applicable during the ongoing year.

Moreover, he said that the construction industry has faced a halt for quite some time but now NCC has developed policies for its revival to boost the industry.

He added, “I, myself shall preside the meetings regarding this initiative to supervise the progress of this program”.

This program would bring greater hope for the unemployed people and the homeless people of our country. They are the ones who would be benefited from this scheme the most.

Naya Pakistan Housing Scheme has been launched by the PM of Pakistan and we hope it would help the economy of the country get better and best.
