Asian Development Bank and Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank have decided to provide $688.92 million for road projects in Punjab.
These road infrastructure projects will be completed in nine districts of Punjab.
According to the details, the Asian Development Bank will provide $386.60 million while the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank will provide $302.32 million.
The project has been divided into 4 corridors. The Corridor – 207 km long will cover Chichawatnl – Rajana/Pir Mahal – Chowk Azam – Layyah. The 103km long Corridor-2 will cover M-4 Chiragabad Interchange – Jhang –Shorkot. Corridor 3, sprawling on 150kms, will cover Depalpur- Pakpattan Shareef -Vehari Road. Lastly, the 75km long Corridor-4 will cover Hasilpur and Bahawalnagar Road.
The said projects will be completed in a period of 63 months in Bahawalnagar, Layyah, Bahawalpur, Jhang, Toba Tek Singh, Okara, Pakpattan, Vehari and Sahiwal.
