We are seeing a rapid increase in house costs in urban areas. Home values have been increasing day by day. The main impact of such a situation is happening to middle-class families living in the cities.
Mostly the middle-class group comprises nurses, teachers, clerks, and many more professions. They are the need of cities. People are finding it difficult to afford to pay for a house in a city in which they work.
People walk in the cities for employment opportunities but they also have to face the highest cost of living. If we look deeply we come across an economical problem of supply and demand. As the Demand for people is greater than the supply of homes it has become a critical issue.
Despite the cost of living being high in cities, people want to raise the standard of living by switching to the cities. Unfortunately, there are not many choices for potential buyers. The cities don’t have single units’ houses much as they have more double units available.
It is a wrong myth that cities must be only for wealthy people. In every city, you will find a barbershop, spa parlor, coffee shop, and much more. You will need someone to run these shops, someone to pick up the garbage. Every individual who is responsible for these chores should have the right to enjoy the urban lifestyle.
Middle-class families should be able to afford the cities they are serving in. The problem of supply and demand is not getting better. It is the responsibility of both the Government and the private sector to overcome this issue and should try to help impact cost positively.
Equal spaces should be given to the middle-class group. Thinking that higher density living will ruin the cities is a wrong impression.
Jaageer.com is of the view that higher density will change the character of the city. So it’s time to pay special focus on this and admire every class of the society.
