PHA to Initiate Housing Schemes in Sargodha

A news source reported that the Punjab Housing Authority (PHA) has announced its decision to develop housing projects on the 700 kanals of land held by the Tehsil Headquarters of Sargodha Division with the initiative aimed at allotting three to five Marla plots to low-income families through a ballot. It is also stated that government has already working on this project and the land has also been specified for this purpose in Sillanwali and Shahpur.

A meeting of District Housing Committee was held in the presence of various senior officials and it was chaired by Deputy Commissioner Abdullah Nayyar.  The meeting approved the development of a housing scheme in Tehsil Sillanwali near Faisalabad Road on an area of 240-kanals. Moreover, the 154 kanals land of the former Ashyana housing scheme in Sargodha and the 230 kanals land in Shahpur for the development of housing schemes has also approved in the meeting.

It was stated that the purpose of development of these societies is to update the life style of the people. All the premium qualities shall be provided in these societies, starting from all the basic amenities to clean drinking water, electricity, Sui gas, to the best sewerage system.

PHATA has assured to build over one million NPHP houses in Punjab.
