The Divisional Development Working Party has approved 23 different schemes worth Rs. 30 crores in the region, including three district road and public health engineering schemes in Sargodha, Khushab, and Mianwali districts, according to sources the meeting was presided over by Commissioner Dr. Masood.
Approval for construction and repair of 2 Schemes of Road Department of District Sargodha from Chak No. 8A South Kot Momin Bypass via Dewal Bhalwal Sargodha Road to Chak No. 27 North 18.87 km and from Sargodha Kandiwal Road to Sargodha Bypass Bridge 36 -17 km, While three schemes of Khushab district, 4,770 km from Matha Towana to Jabi, 10 km from Jamali to Khattan via Tahli and 7 km from Nawa Shagagan to Jhar Kal were also approved.
The Divisional Development Working Party also approved PCC slab, sewerage, and drain schemes in Swans, Bai Khel, and Chakrala rural areas of the Mianwali district. These schemes have been estimated at Rs. 30 crores. The schemes were completed at a cost of Rs. 10 crores in Swans, Pai Khel and Rachkarala. 15 schemes for the construction and repair of 108.22 km roads were also discussed.
The Commissioner directed the officers of the construction departments to expedite the tendering process of all the schemes and seek the details of the approved and unapproved schemes in all four districts. She took note of the slowness of the ongoing schemes despite the disbursement of funds and directed to convince the responsible persons and inform their office.
